A 22-year-old Florida man is facing charges after he was allegedly captured on video brandishing a firearm during an apparent road rage incident.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday shared a dashboard camera video from the victims’ work truck showing the encounter in Mulberry at around 2 p.m. on March 28.

In the video, the driver of the truck turns from Dean Street onto State Road 37 traveling north. A white Mercedes-Benz sedan passes the truck, then brake-checks it. Brake-checking is when a driver abruptly stops or slows in front of another vehicle.

When truck moves to the left lane to pass the Mercedes-Benz, the sedan’s driver can be seen brandishing what appears to be a firearm out the open driver’s side window, threatening the two men in the truck.

According to the sheriff’s office, the suspect, identified as Camden Davis, yelled “I am going to blow your brains out.” The sedan then sped away.

The men in the truck reported the incident to the sheriff’s office and provided the video on Tuesday. Detectives identified Davis as the driver of the Mercedes-Benz. When detectives visited his residence and showed him a still image from the video, Davis “admitted that he was the armed man in the photo,” the sheriff’s office said.

A black Taurus pistol was recovered from the residence. Davis was arrested and charged with two counts of felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
